Behind the Scenes

In the interest of lowering your stress levels, minimizing drama during the home selling period, and depending on several factors that include: property condition, marketing strategy, and your personal comfort level, we may recommend some of the following services.

1. A Homebuyer’s Pre-inspection. This serves the dual purpose of providing you with a list of the items that a prospective buyer might encounter in the course of their own inspection, and preparing you for what a buyer might want to ask in the way of concessions, so you can make any corrections necessary to your home prior to putting it on the market.

2. Housekeeping Service the week your home goes on the market. You’ve got your hands full just coordinating daily events, and keeping the house running smoothly. Adding a move to the mix can be overwhelming. To help keep a lid on your stress during this time, we may provide a housekeeper to do the dirty work just prior to showtime.

3. Handyman services or Carpet cleaning. First impressions are important when it comes to marketing your home. Leaky faucets and toilets, sticky doors and cabinets, or paint touchup can all be contributing factors to a less-than stellar presentation. To head these off, we may provide handyman services, as needed, to help check one more thing off your to-do list. If you’re one of those who sail a tight ship, and stay on top of these projects, you might be better served by a last minute spiffing up of your home’s carpets.

4. Staging- This is the icing on the cake. To extend the metaphor, you might have whipped up the tastiest confection, but would never consider serving it naked to your visitors. By the same logic, staging puts the finishing touches on a property that may need just a few small adjustments to make it shine. Or it may be more involved- tying together several rooms with a consistent, unified theme. Whatever the challenge of your particular property, staging can make the difference between days or weeks on market, and can mean thousands of additional dollars in your pocket.
